Abstract

The studies of the left movement are a specific branch for the history of the 20th century. In the USSR, this implicitly academic problem always had political features and content imposed by the ideology and the prevailing political line of the single party of the government, the Communist Party of the Soviet Union, which since the days of the Comintern claimed to be the conductor of the international communist movement and arbitrator for other movements on the lefts. To carry out this task in the USSR there were academic institutions whose objective was to provide the study and the elaboration of recommendations on the problematic points of politics, and at the same time fulfill the propagandistic role within the dominant ideology. However, within this rigid ideological system in the academic-university environment, heterodox ideas and concepts emerged that was like a living bonfire of Marxist thought in an ideologically sterilized country. This text tries to recover Soviet thought in the sphere of academic studies on the Latin American left.
